A report in the Boston Herald reveals that over 500 Massachusetts state employees are driving state-owned, take-home vehicles.  That's 500.  The chosen few include a tree surgeon and the Chief of Hatcheries.  Oh and did I mention that we are paying for their gas too.  My guess is that Deval and his minions will have little trouble finding programs to cut after we vote to eliminate the income tax this fall.

There are rumblings on the inside folks that Hillary Clinton has not given up her dream of becoming President...in 2008.  If you recall, she only “suspended” her campaign in June, and those of us that know her best believe that she is capable of doing anything to get what she wants…anything.  With Barack flip-flopping and losing momentum, do not put it past Hillary to make her move at the Convention.  Word on the street is that her operatives have been very busy laying the ground work for a November surprise.

Even though man-made Global Warming has been sufficiently exposed as one of the greatest hoaxes every perpetrated on mankind, Al Gore continues to lie to whoever will listen to him.  Who can blame him though?  He has been paid millions of dollars to be the spokesman for climate catastrophe.  Well, Lord Christopher Monkton has had enough.  The Scientific Advisor to Margaret Thatcher and longtime critic of the Global Warming machine has officially challenged Al Gore to a “head to head internationally televised debate”.  Don’t get excited though.  Al Gore has been challenged to publicly debate his positions before, and suffice it say, his refusals speak louder than his power-point presentations.

Poor John Edwards [D].  I mean the guy can't catch a break.  So he cheated on his cancer-stricken wife once in 2006.  Its not as slimy as it sounds.  As he explained, his wife was “in remission” at the time.  And look just because he was caught in the back stairwell of that same woman’s hotel at 3:00AM a couple of weeks ago (in 2008),  it doesn’t necessarily mean that he still has a relationship with her.  And just because she has a baby that was born about 9 months after the affair began doesn’t necessarily mean its his.  And I don’t find it disgusting at all that he used his wife and her cancer on the campaign trail to create the impression that he was a devoted husband when he was cheating on her all along.  Seriously folks: how did this man and his $400 hair cuts fool so many people?

Speaking of John Edwards [D], I find it very interesting that when the National Enquirer broke the “Rush Limbaugh is On Drugs” story, every single media outlet picked it up and ran with it immediately.  It was a feeding frenzy.  Now, are you aware that the same National Enquirer first broke the “John Edwards Affair/Love Child” story last year? Well, they did.  Except, not one major media outlet picked it up, and he was still a candidate for President at the time.  Can you imagine that?  The Democrat Vice Presidential candidate in 2004 and Presidential Candidate in 2008 is caught having an affair on his cancer-stricken wife, and no one reports it.  Even after the Enquirer pursued the story and caught Edwards in the hotel a few weeks ago, there still wasn't any media coverage of the incident until Edwards himself admitted it a couple of days ago.  This is an amazing example of mainstream media bias.  They buried this story for over a year. Now more than ever, Americans need talk radio and the internet to deliver the truth. The major news networks and newspapers just can’t be trusted.

The Black Book of Communism estimates that, throughout history, Communist regimes have killed over 94 million people.  With these staggering numbers, the book points out “that Communist regimes are responsible for a greater number of deaths than any other political ideal or movement, including Nazism.  The statistics of victims includes executions, intentional destruction of population by starvation, and deaths resulting from deportations, physical confinement, or through forced labor.  It does not include 'excess deaths' due to higher mortality or lower birth rates than expected of the population.” Most people aren’t aware of the brutality that it takes to impose a Communist system on otherwise free people.  On a side note, it is estimated that Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union is responsible for 20 million murders.  This always gets me wondering: when was the last time Hollywood made a major motion picture about Joseph Stalin and the millions upon millions of people he had killed during his reign of terror?  I can’t think of one.  I wonder why that is.

The Republicans, lead by Congressmen Mike Pence [R:Ind], are still on the floor of the House of Representatives, and yes, the lights and microphones are still off.  Now, over 100 Republican Representatives have joined together to protest Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s five week paid vacation.  They are calling on Pelosi to come back and allow an up or down vote on an energy bill that would not only lift the ban on domestic drilling but also provision for alternative energy research.  They believe that they have the votes to pass a bill that would bring the price of gasoline and heating oil down.  This leaves Pelosi standing between Americans and lower gas prices.  So, how is Nancy spending her vacation anyway?  She's peddling her pathetic book on a nationwide tour.  The good news: the book is tanking and has only sold 2700 copies so far.

John McCain is gaining momentum as he finds his voice on the campaign trail.  Over the weekend, he delivered a strong message to the Disabled American Veterans group: “Not content to merely predict failure in Iraq, my opponent tried to legislate failure.”  McCain was, of course, referring to Obama’s prediction that the Surge would not work and his vote against funding the troops in 2007.  Coincidentally, in an attempt to erase the truth from his website, Barack Obama has removed his criticism of the Surge and predictions of failure.  Now there is a man with conviction.

That's all for now folks.
